Everyone who takes part in organizing TempleCon believes that if you are going to attend a major convention, part of the experience should be visiting an amazing venue. From our first year on, we've gone out of our way to secure the most stunning places to hold TempleCon, and 2011 will be no different as we return to the breathtaking Crowne Plaza hotel.
All too often, gaming, science fiction, and fandom conventions are held in drafty halls, remote chain hotels, and other nondescript locations that are hardly memorable at best, and weekend-ruining at their worst. In our decades of event organization experience, we've heard all the horror stories of what happens when cons cost-cut at the venue-planning level, and it's not pretty at all.
Because of this, we've vowed to run the classiest gaming convention around, and do it in an equally classy hotel. We've had some call us absolutely crazy, and still other naysayers jealously exclaim that our "clientele" doesn't appreciate such splendor. Of course, year after year we prove them wrong, and continue to draw out legions of men and women who want to see their hobby finally move out of the basement.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Providence-Warwick
The Crowne Plaza hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island is the home of TempleCon 20111. Newly renovated in 2007, the hotel features beautifully appointed and spacious rooms, with marble baths, 25-inch televisions, and PlayStation systems standard in every room. We are quite serious when we say that this is gaming in luxury. 
TempleCon also does not know the meaning of sleep. With all-night events like Midnight Madness, we go twenty-four hours with a myriad of games, parties, and live shows to keep you up late no matter what you've come for. And this year we've expanded our portfolio considerably.
The hotel itself is only 8 miles down I-95 from downtown Providence, Rhode Island, and 2 miles from TF Green Airport, with complimentary airport shuttle service.
The Crowne Plaza also features complimentary on-site parking, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and fitness room, Remington's Restaurant and Alfred's Library Lounge, and food concessions specially tailored for TempleCon members.
