Role Playing

Role-playing games are another part of TempleCon that we have made a conscious effort to grow over the years.  Initially, in 2006, TempleCon offered very little role-playing content.  Since then, every year our RPG schedule has gotten stronger, featuring staples like Dungeons and Dragons and RPGA events  along with the usual World of Darkness offerings from White Wolf, both new and old.  We also host a variety of other RPGs, including Godlike, Shadowrun, Deadlands, and Call of Cthulhu, and for 2011 are featuring a series of special events for the fabulous Neo-Victorian horror RPG Unhallowed Metropolis.

We also fully support the Live-Action Role-Playing community, and since 2006, have organized some memorable LARPs that have run all night at TempleCon.

Finally, we give both tabletop RPG fans and LARP devotees space to play at TempleCon that they'll find perfect for their brand of gaming.  This means allowing GMs to run their campaigns in a room devoted strictly to RPGs, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy gaming convention but still close enough to the action for players to find and enjoy old favorites and new surprises.  We also think that the setting of our luxurious and spacious hotel speaks for itself when providing a truly immersive setting for just about any Live-Action game.  This is why we stress that TempleCon is more than just a schedule of events; it's a full experience, and the rich setting is part of that experience.
