About Events At TempleCon
All events at TempleCon are free to enter, and have no additional ticket costs outside of
paying for your general TempleCon membership. We firmly believe, as long time convention staff, vendors, and fans, that forcing people to pay additional charges is confusing and unfair, and makes budgeting for a convention trip more of an hassle than it should be. In our minds, the point of a convention is not a series of isolated tournaments and events that happen to be taking place in the same venue. We feel that a convention should be a fluid festival atmosphere where people should have the freedom to check out whatever game system they wish during the weekend, without having to worry about how much extra it will cost to do so. In fact, the only time that you would have to shell out money to play in an event would be if the game is a sealed tournament, and you would be required to purchase actual product to compete. That's it.
Casual Play At TempleCon 2008
Finally, while TempleCon has many organized events running during the weekend, perhaps the most action at the convention takes place in the form of casual gaming of all different shapes and sizes. Even if you aren't interested in tournament play or structured events, we have plenty of space and room to offer you a unmatched gaming space for whatever you feel like playing!
